Operated by the Etxepare Basque Institute in collaboration with key players in the Basque literary ecosystem, BASQUE. BOOKS. is both the strategy and the platform designed to enhance the internationalisation and external visibility of the Basque Country’s literary creation at markets, festivals and professional events around the world.

BASQUE. BOOKS. enables authors and industry professionals from the Basque Country to participate in international markets, while promoting distribution and news about Basque literature.

BASQUE. BOOKS. is part of BASQUE. Supported by the Etxepare Basque Institute and the Basque Government, BASQUE. is a brand project that aims to increase the awareness and visibility of the Basque creative, cultural and artistic scene, as well as its cultural and creative industries on an international level. Our aim is to build lasting international relationships and to support exchange and cooperation in the cultural, academic and CCI fields on an international scale.

ABOUT THE ETXEPARE BASQUE INSTITUTE

Since 2010, the Etxepare Basque Institute has been working to enhance the international presence and visibility of the Basque language and contemporary Basque creativity, promote international cooperation and foster exchange and communication between creators, professionals, stakeholders and public institutions.. The Etxepare Basque Institute promotes the export of Basque literature through active profiling work and translation subsidies.
