Translation grants for Basque literature

The Etxepare Basque Institute offers a range of funding schemes, all geared toward promoting the translation of Basque books.

TRANSLATION AND PUBLISHING

Agents and publishers working with translations of Basque literature can apply for a number of the Etxepare Basque Institute´s funding schemes. Read more about our schemes for translation subsidies here.

PROMOTION

Organisers of festivals and conferences can apply for funding to invite Basque authors to their events.

TRANSLATION PRIZE

The Etxepare - LABORAL Kutxa Translation Prize is designed to acknowledge and encourage the translation of Basque literature. The award recognises published translations of literary works originally written in the Basque language in an effort to promote Basque-authored works at an international level.
