Kontrako eztarritik is an essay based on testimonies. Therein, the testimonies of women bertsolaris intersect with feminist theory (mainly with the ideas of theorists in the world of art and literature). In this way, beyond bertsolaritza, the author identifies, names and explains 22 mechanisms which diminish the public voice of women and reduce the margin of women’s movement. The book traces out steps towards a feminist revision of an activity rooted in tradition, revealing the universality of the struggles at the margins.
