Ten years later, under the Madrid sun, Lur will meet Juan, Josetxo, Fer and Esteban. A group of friends that forgives one other, although one in which each will conceal their own story of what was shared. That same sky shelters the nine narratives which make up this book, which will reveal processionary moths by the side of railway tracks, the grazes of walking in ballet flats, the cross-talking of people who ask what if a sleeping child dies, office drains and pink smoke.

Uxue Apaolaza’s stories are about the specific nature of the social condition, between solidarity, competition and charity, about the fear of strangers and the desire to dance, about family bonds, about fear and the epic genre, about roses and about the middle class. The author has sharpened them with irony, capturing the often-imperceptible everyday violence that soaks as softly but as thoroughly as fine rain.
