A little girl asks her grandmother to tell her a "real story", a real story for once, because her grandmother always tells her children´s stories, even though she is a history teacher. Starting with the explanation of the first voyage around the world in the 16th century - the famous voyage of Magellan and Elcano - the little girl´s questions and answers will take history out of its own way and turn what could have been a chronicle of an ancient sea voyage into an excuse to explain many other real stories and a reflective dialogue about this strange planet we live in. The conversation, not without humor, will offer keys to all the topics: power relations, ties, unequal economic exchange, cultural diversity, the price of a button, racism, the mystery of the cosmos, historical memory, land ownership, scurvy, machismo, the importance of washing the dishes, globalization...
