The main character in this novel wants to know the world, walk from one corner to another, discover the most beautiful landscapes and cities. It is not so strange either, many books relate the same thing. But the protagonist of this novel is not a person like you or me. It´s an alder, a modest tree. And a tree can hardly dream of walking through the world, not even the slenderest oak.
The alder in this novel, though, has always dreamt of leaving its birthplace. Of moving, from one place to another, getting to know new places.
And, just at that moment, nature gives it the opportunity to go on an adventure.
—Go, enjoy the world.
What does this mean, that the adventurous alder in our story does not just want to be a tree? Does it mean that the alder wants to escape its reality?
The narrative before you in the following pages will tell you about the escapades of an alder that wanted to know the world.
