An eye in the neck (Juan Kruz Igerabide; ilustraciones de Elena Odriozola; Ediciones Modernas el Embudo, 2023)

The voice of the boy who was resonates in the writer´s text in this autobiographical work of his childhood, in the context of the 50s and 60s of the 20th century, in the midst of the Franco dictatorship, in a small town in Gipuzkoa (Basque Country, Spain). The child tells what he sees and what he feels in his family, at school, with his friends; It reflects the world of adults and children with an innocent look, and narrates sad and funny scenes, sometimes hard, sometimes endearing. He portrays himself in relation to the people he lives with both at home and on the street. From his personal experience he composes a portrait of an entire period that marked the destiny of several generations.
